A Sparrow Program

The LifeChange Program

A year-long, whole-person journey out of homelessness — walked alongside a community that believes in you.

The LifeChange Program walks single parents and families facing homelessness through a year-long journey toward lasting transformation. Participants live in homes provided through partner churches while receiving mentorship across four areas of life — physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual.

It’s a hand up, not a handout. Through weekly financial coaching, peer support, and group mentoring, families set goals, rebuild stability, and rediscover their God-given worth — supported every step of the way by people who believe in them.

In their words

It’s a hand up, not a handout. You only get out of it what you put into it — and by the end I had achieved goals I set many years ago.

Common questions

Who is the LifeChange Program for? +

LifeChange is for single parents and families with children who are facing homelessness and ready to engage in a year-long journey of growth. It asks for a commitment to a substance-free home and active participation in mentoring — and in return offers housing, coaching, and a community that walks with you.

How long is the program, and what does it involve? +

The program runs about twelve months. Families live in homes provided through partner churches and take part in weekly financial coaching, peer support, and group mentoring (currently Thursday evenings, 4:15–6:15). The goal is whole-person growth — physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual — at a pace that fits each family.
